Abstract
An ongoing program, designed by an occupational therapist to train church volunteers to interact with the aged, ill and handicapped, is described. Topics include identifying personal needs and skills, myths and truths regarding aging and illness, bio-psychosocial changes and death and dying. Organizational issues such as program sponsorship and paid versus community service care are discussed. Keywords
