Platelet-inhibitor therapy in cardiovascular disease

Abstract
Preview The advisability of anticoagulant and antiplatelet therapy in patients with cardiovascular disease is a subject of great importance in clinical practice, as the drugs may be effective in preventing thromboembolism and occlusion. Dr Chesebro and his colleagues, who have extensive experience in this area, give practical therapeutic approaches for use of the agents in patients with a prosthetic heart valve, aortocoronary bypass graft, or atherosclerosis and in those undergoing arterial angioplasty.
