Abstract
Thermoelectric power (TEP) experiments on 4f instability compounds are described down to very low temperatures. Above 1 K, the data are analyzed in a two-band model; major features are the electron-hole symmetry between cerium and ytterbium and the change of the sign on approaching the trivalent state. At very low temperature, for the trivalent heavy fermion compound CeAl3, a new inversion of the sign of the TEP is observed which is connected with the entrance in the Kondo lattice regime. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
