Abstract
Differential elastic and rotational excitation cross sections for electron- scattering have been calculated in the close-coupling approximation with electron exchange neglected. The resulting elastic angular distributions are found to be in very good agreement with measurements. An apparent oscillation in the measured differential cross section for rotational excitation is not found in the calculation.
