Abstract
Formal expressions for the differential and total inelastic scattering cross section when two rigid diatomic molecules with orbital and nuclear spin angular momenta collide are obtained. An extended distorted wave treatment is used to simplify the results. The nondegeneracy averaged and degeneracy averaged cases are compared. Keywords
