Abstract
Thrombotic thrombocytopenic purpura (TTP) is an infrequent, sporadic, and highly fatal syndrome. Recent advances in therapy and insight into the pathogenesis of this disorder have dramatically changed its once poor prognosis. A reappraisal of the diagnosis, pathogenesis, and treatment of TTP is the subject of this article. (JAMA1981;246:1243-1246)Keywords
