Abstract
The article by Giovannucci et al. in this issue of the Journal 1 promises an important advance in cancer prevention. An analysis of the incidence of colorectal cancer among women participating in the Nurses' Health Study according to whether they did or did not use aspirin on a regular basis showed a statistically significant reduction in the incidence of colorectal cancer among women who took four to six aspirin tablets per week for more than 10 years.
