Abstract
In 535 male hypertensive patients the correlation coefficient between the corrected transverse diameter of the heart and the systolic pressure was +0.301. With diastolic pressure the correlation coefficient was +0.209. Both coefficients were significant ( p p <0.001). The correlation between the corrected transverse diameter and the systolic pressure was independent of age. Keywords
