Remedies and cures for warts are almost as numerous as the number of physicians treating them. Alleged effective treatment has ranged from application of acids and caustics, on the one hand, to hypnosis and wishing them away, on the other. Even though the etiology of verrucae seems to be established as viral, the nature of their growth, spread, and resolution has, for the most part, escaped understanding. The following 2 brief reports concern young women whose plantar warts cleared completely during pregnancy without any form of treatment. Report of Cases Case 1.— A 23-year-old woman gave a history of multiple plantar warts on the soles of both feet present for 10 years. There were approximately 25 verrucae on the sole of each foot.
