Abstract
The visible absorption band systems of 79Br35Cl and 81Br35Cl have been observed for the first time. A rotational analysis of four bands has been made, and suggests the presence of a small maximum in the potential energy curve for BrCl(3 Pi 0+), similar to those found for the 3 Pi 0+ states of ICl and IBr.Keywords
