Abstract
Equations of motion for a sample filled with totally inverted two-level atoms coupled to one-dimensional radiation field are solved in the linear regime without the slowly-varying-envelope approximation. The comparison with known results neglecting the coupling between left- and right-going waves is made. Keywords
