We present a family with a normal chromosome complement plus a tiny centric fragment with satellites on both arms in some of the members in which the proband was a child with regular G1 trisomy plus the abnormal chromosome. The authors believe that a translocation between the short arms of two acrocentric chromosomes is the most plausible mechanism to explain the sequence of events.
