Notes on some oriental aphids, with descriptions of a new genus and four new species (Homoptera: Aphididae)

Abstract
The following new taxa are described: Schizoneurella, gen- nov., type-species Schizoneurella indica, sp. nov., host alternating between Ulmus villosa and Malus pumila, India and Pakistan; Hyalomyzus raoi, sp. nov., from Rubus ellipticus, India; Pemphigus siphunculatus, sp. nov., from Populus ciliata, Pakistan; Prociphilus (Neoparacletus) ghanii, sp. nov., from Salix wallichiana, Pakistan. The life cycles of Pemphigus immunis Buckton, 1896, alternating between Populus nigra (I) and annual Euphorbia spp. (II); and of Acutosiphon obliquoris Basu, Ghosh & Raychaudhuri, 1970, alternating between Pieris ovalifolia (I) and Cyperaceae (II), and the oviparae of the latter species are described. Tetraneura chinensis Mordvilko, 1924, from Ulmus pumila, China and Mongolia, separated from T. akinire Sasaki, 1904, is redescribed. The synonymy is suggested of Pentaceratinaphis Ivanovskaya-Shubina, 1965, type-species Pentaceratinaphis samagaltaica Ivanovskaya-Shubina, 1965 with Vesiculaphis del Guercio, 1911, type species Toxoptera caricis Fullaway, 1909; of Anocaudus Ghosh Chakrabarti, Chowdhuri & Raychauduri, 1969, type-species Anocaudus taxus Ghosh, Chakrabarti, Chowdhuri & Raychaudhuri, 1969, with Prociphilus Koch, 1857, type-species Aphis bumeliae Schrank, 1801; and of Afghanaphis Takahashi, 1966, type-species Afghanaphis ulmi Takahashi, 1966, with Schizoneura Hartig, 1839, type-species Aphis (Chermes) ulmi Linne. 1758. Mollitrichosiphum (Metatrichosiphon) alni Ghosh, Ghosh & Raychaudhuri, 1970, is recorded from Alnus nepalensis, Upper Shillong (Assam) and Darjeeling (West Bengal), India, and illustrated.Keywords
