Abstract
12 patients who had previously undergone trans-sphincteric urethral reconstruction were studied with regard to their sphincter mechanisms. The method of study was by urethral pressure profile and urethral voluntary sphincteric pressure increment. This study showed that patients may undergo trans-sphincteric urethral reconstruction with preservation of normal profiles and voluntary pressure increases indicating preservation of the "external" sphincter mechanism. Keywords
