Exchange in alkylzinc alkoxides and alkylcadmium alkoxides

Abstract
Coupling of lllCd and ll3Cd to both the methyl and alkoxyl protons has been observed in the proton magnetic resonance spectra of methylcadmium alkoxides. P.m.r. spectrometry has also been used to investigate the exchange reactions of methylcadmium and alkylzinc alkoxides. In particular exchanges between Me2Cd and MeCdOR (R = Me, Et, Pr, and Ph), between R2Zn and RznOR? (R = Me, Et; R' = Me, Et, Pr, and But), and between Me3Al and MeZnOR' (R' = Et, Pr, and But), have been examined.
