Abstract
Impossibility to distinguish all different states of the cells of a developing organism during a biological experiment motivates the study of literal homomorphic images (total codings) of languages generated by OL-systems and their subclasses, e.g. propagating or deterministic OL-systems. In this paper the properties of corresponding families of languages are studied and the relations among them and also their relation to the families of context-free and regular languages are investigatedKeywords
