Abstract
The removal of N2(A 3Σ+ u, v′ = 0,1) by O has been studied in a room temperature discharge–flow apparatus by monitoring the temporal decay of the 0,6 and 1,10 bands of the Vegard–Kaplan system. The measured rate constants are (2.8±0.4) and (3.4±0.6)×10−11 cm3 molecule−1 s−1 for v′ = 0 and 1, respectively.Keywords
