Abstract
198 plasma samples from 76 patients were analyzed electrophoretically. There appears to be a correlation between the albumin decrease and an increase in % of [alpha]-globulins. The albumin content of plasma from patients with hypoproteinemia due to a variety of diseases can be increased by the admn. of protein hydroly-sates. It is believed that the alteration of plasma pattern, such as decrease in albumin and increase in [alpha]-globulins, is due to the depletion of protein rather than any specific diseases. Keywords
