Abstract
The genetic influence on serum lipid and lipoprotein values was estimated in 12 monozygotic (MZ) and 8 dizygotic (DZ) twins at birth and 3-5 yr of age. The intrapair variances for total cholesterol and high density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol were smaller in MZ than DZ twins indicating a significant genetic influence. Keywords
