Abstract
Provision of manpower for health services involves: the changing functions of health personnel; changing social philosphy and expectations as to quantity and quality of services; increasing specialization; the organization of health services; the use, recruitment, and education manpower to meet community needs. To use all members of the health team effectively, many measures should be taken: re-examination of traditional functions of specialized personnel; increased use of auxiliary personnel; regionalization of hospitals; grouping of physicians and dentists with supportive personnel to provide high quality service; scrutiny of licensure laws and merit systems; and coordination of health services. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
