Abstract
The most sensitive chemical methods for the determination of histamine described in the literature are based on the so‐called diazo reaction. The reliability of these methods is however too low for them to have become generally accepted, while we found it impossible by these methods to determine smaller amounts than 5 γ of histamine. When a number of conditions were observed we succeeded in determining quantitatively amounts of histamine down to 0.2 γ with great accuracy.A method of procedure for the determination and the results of a number of determinations according to this procedure are given. Keywords
