Abstract
Glossal osteomas are rare. Only 11 reported cases were discovered since this lesion''s original description by Monsarrat (1913) and a further 2 were added. Another occurred in an 8 yr old girl, the youngest age at which this tumor was reported. Histology showed a submucosal osteoma composed of well-formed lamellar bone with prominent Haversian systems and osteocytes but no marrow spaces. The overlying epithelium was somewhat attenuated but otherwise unremarkable. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
