Abstract
Pulmonary alveolar proteinosis is a rare disease with varied radiographic and clinical manifestations. The role of pulmonary lavage in the management of 13 patients is illustrated. Patients (6) had associated diseases such as nocardiosis, leukemia and silicosis. The broad spectrum of relationships in alveolar proteinosis implies that it represents 1 mechanism by which the lung responds to a variety of insults. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
