Abstract

Depletion of glutamine with Acinetobacter glutaminase:asparaginase [antineoplastic drugs] promoted melphalan uptake by and cytotoxicity to murine [leukemia] L1210 cells in vitro. Combined treatment of tumor bearing mice with these 2 agents increased the therapeutic response.
