Polynomial basis for Yang–Mills invariants

Abstract
It is shown that any polynomial invariant of the SU(2) Yang–Mills field is a polynomial in a basic set of ten invariants, although only nine of them are functionally independent. Polynomial bases for the self‐dual and anti‐self‐dual Yang–Mills fields are also presented.Keywords
