Abstract
Third‐order transport relations are developed by applying the Chapman–Enskog method to the Krook equation. A simple correction factor is introduced which gives results for rigid sphere molecules. The pressure tensor and the heat flux vector are presented in an irreducible form in terms of gradients of density, velocity, and temperature. Keywords
