Abstract
Periodontal disease is a great and as yet untreated problem in developing countries. The vast majority of the people who suffer from this disease do not ask for help because in most cases they are not aware that anything can be done about it. They must be educated to the full significance of this disease and helped to eradicate it. Although the number of dentists in these countries is inadequate to cope with the problem, a program in which dental aides are trained in techniques for prevention and control of periodontal disease could remedy the situation rapidly and economically. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
