Abstract
The removal of unbound dye and the exchange of buffer salts after the primary tagging reaction can be accomplished more rapidly (one hour or less) by gel filtration than by the usual cumbersome dialysis procedure. When an apparatus for ultra filtration is not available rapid re-concentration of diluted protein solutions can be performed by utilizing the osmotic activity of polyethylene glycol of higher molecular weight. Keywords
