Abstract
THE number of published cases of obstruction by thrombus in the right or left pulmonary artery is few. Means and Mallory,1 up to 1931, found 5 and added another. The case of Levy, Mayer and Jobard2 and the 2 reported below bring the total to 9.In addition to the apparent rarity of this condition, Levy et al.2 succinctly emphasize its interest: "The cases of pulmonary thrombosis all come as surprises at autopsy — that is to say, the extreme difficulty of diagnosis is due not only to the great rarity of the condition but also to the clinical circumstances . . .Keywords
