The future of wife abuse programs

Abstract
Battered women have begun to receive needed social services through a variety of grass-roots programs. Can these programs develop the permanent formal structure needed for survival and still not lose the vital feminist impulse that did so much to establish them? The authors discuss four possibilities for the future of efforts to aid abused wives.
