Abstract
Both mononuclear Cr(CO)5(C2H2N4) and binuclear [Cr(CO)5]2(C2H2N4) are formed when s-tetrazine (C2H2N4) is added to a photolysed solution of Cr(CO)6 in diethyl ether. A centrosymmetric structure is proposed for the binuclear, s-tetrazine-bridged complex [Cr(CO)5]2(C2H2N4). The corresponding molybdenum and tungsten compounds are also described
