Abstract
Viruses of the Poty‐, Potex‐ and Tobamo‐virus groups, and presumably Nepoviruses could be isolated from degenerating beech trees (Fagus sylvatica L.) in West‐Germany. They are discussed as predisposing factors of tree decline.
