Abstract
A technique for using monoxenic [alfalfa callus] cultures of Pratylenchus penetrans, P. scribneri and P. crenatus directly as soil inoculum is discussed. The technique has been used successfully to infest both organic and mineral soils. The technique can be used to infest large quantities of soil for use in field microplots. Practical applications, advantages, and disadvantages of the technique are discussed.
