Abstract
General bounds on the deformation of a structure in a state of creep are derived for an elastic/perfectly plastic/time-hardening creep material, and subject to an arbitrary history of loading. Previously derived bounds for time constant loading are recovered and extended. The bounds are specialized to cyclic histories of loading. A simple example indicates that very accurate bounds are possible in some circumstances. Keywords
