Abstract
Comparative data on neuroblocking activity of antibiotics in acute experiments on albino mice and narcotized cats are presented. Based on the degree of neuro-muscular conductivity impairment the drugs were arranged in the following descending order: polymyxin B, neomycin, gentamicin, streptomycin, lincomycin and kanamycin. Streptomycin derivatives were approximately 2.times. less toxic than streptomycin. The mode of action of antibiotics on conductivity and excitation in neuro-muscle synapses is discussed. This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
