Abstract
Sir—We appreciate the remarks of Drusano et al. [1] regarding our paper on the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) relationships of the fluoroquinolones [2]. Their comments create an opportunity to further clarify the meaning of the PK/PD relationships in which we are all very interested. In our reply, we will identify areas of agreement and attempt to clarify the possible reasons for disagreement. We will take up these points in the order they were made. Keywords
