Abstract
Absolute differential cross sections are presented for the reactions (ground state and first three excited states) and (ground state), for laboratory energies from 3.4 to 4.0 MeV. Total cross sections are about 1 mb at 4.0 MeV. Fluctuations in the angular distributions and total cross sections suggest that the reactions proceed via the compound nucleus which is excited to the region of over-lapping levels. This is in contrast to the predominantly direct character of the previously studied reaction .
