νi132 and νh92 isomers in odd-A Pt nuclei

Abstract
132+ isomers with half-lives of 311 ± 15, 143 ± 5, and 95 ± 5 μs in Pt187, Pt189, and Pt191, respectively, have been observed in (α,3nγ) reactions on isotopically enriched Os targets. Isomeric decay schemes based on the present measurements and on Au189 and Au191 decay data are presented. It is proposed that the Pt187,189,191132+ isomers deexcite by M2 transitions to 92 intrinsic states of νh92 character. In A193 Pt nuclei the corresponding 92 states must lie above the known νi132 isomers, which have much longer half-lives.
