Abstract
A new broadcasting problem that generalizes the conventional broadcast channel is formulated. This new problem models that a receiver may know some messages destined for other receivers a priori. Such scenarios can naturally arise in a practical wireless network. For the case when there are two receivers and the channel is additive white Gaussian, the capacity region of this generalized broadcasting problem is determined. Keywords
