Abstract
A strain ofPseudomonas sp. ATCC 29354, isolated from parathionamended flooded soil, convertedp-nitrophenol to 4-nitrocatechol which persisted in pure culture. In unsterilized flooded soil, not previously treated with parathion, 4-nitrocatechol was further metabolized by other microogranisms. This publication has 14 references indexed in Scilit:
