Abstract—This paper presents the analysis and identification of an unstable product previously undescribed from furocoumarin photolysis, 5‐formyl‐6‐hydroxybenzofuran. Reverse‐phase chromatography and solid‐phase extraction techniques allowed its isolation.Keywords
