Abstract
The development Of the pattern of land tenure* in Rhodesia has been an involved process, complicated by conflicts of interest at various stages. The principles upon which it is based have changed periodically and new maps have been Produced to Tefiect the changes. Segregation in some form has been apparent since Rhodesia was founded in 1890, but the latest Land Tenure Act (1970) has attempted to give greater precision and justification to the division of land between the races. Keywords
