Abstract
The Golden mole, Chrysochloris stuhlmanni fosteri, occurs in the west of Kenya, on Mount Elgon and the Cherangani Hills, while the mole‐shrews, Surdisorex pollulus and 5. norae occur on Mount Kenya and the Aberdare Mountains respectively (Fig. 1). These species were trapped and their stomach contents recorded over two months. Some ecological similarities between C.s. fosteri and Surdisorex are noted, and the factors responsible or their present‐day distribution are suggested. Keywords
