Abstract
The desirable physical characteristics are theoretically defined for catheter-manometer systems and analogue differentiating circuits used for the measurement of left ventricular pressure and its first derivative (Max dP/dt). A modified analogue differentiating circuit is described, and its performance in differentiating a complex pressure wave has been assessed by Fourier series analysis. Keywords
