Abstract
A modified technique is described for the determination of esterase D phenotypes in liquid blood and dry bloodstains. The problems of typing ageing bloodstains are discussed and a technique of interpreting the results is suggested. Frequencies of esterase D phenotypes in various racial types of a British population arc given.Keywords
