Abstract
We have observed 99 decays of the charmed strange meson, the (formerly called the ), into the φ (61) and K (38) final states in the Fermilab photoproduction experiment E-691. We determine the lifetime to be (0.±0.02)× s. Using our reported measurement of the lifetime, we calculate the ratio τ()/τ()=(1.10±0.15±0.04).
