Abstract
Resistance to traditional antibiotics is an increasing problem. The introduction of ciprofloxacin (Cipro) has been welcome, because it is safe and effective against many organisms (including drug-resistant ones), can be taken orally, and is well tolerated. Dr Fass provides a complete description of the drug, including its use for infections of the urinary, respiratory, and gastrointestinal tracts; skin and skin structures; and bones and joints. Keywords
