Abstract
On the basis of IR reflection, transmission, and Raman spectra the frequencies of the vibrational modes of CuGaSe2, CuInSe2, and CuGaxIn1−xSe2 are obtained and identified. It is shown that the lattice vibrations of the solid solutions display mixed type behaviour. In the frequency range ω > 200 cm−1 the vibrational modes show two‐mode behaviour. Two relatively independent bands in this range are due to vibrations of GaSe atoms and InSe, respectively, in antiphase. The vibrational modes in the low frequency region (ω < 200 cm−1) display one‐mode behaviour. Keywords
