Thermal Pulp Tester: A New Instrument

Abstract
An instrument that delivers water for thermal testing of teeth has been constructed and tested. Major functions of the apparatus are: to deliver water at any desired temperature (between approximately 0[degree]C and 70[degree]C) to the tooth or teeth of a subject under study; constantly monitor the temperature of water as it is delivered; and to measure the time from start of stimulus application to patient response. A thorough description, diagrams, and pictures of the apparatus are presented.
