Abstract
This brief discussion is a critique of Meyer''s study (Jour. Exptl. Psychol. 39: 96-113. 1949.) on the basis of improper equipment description and insufficient control over apparatus artifacts. The latter error produced data which Daniel attempts to show are transients set up by the apparatus rather than muscle action potentials as claimed by Meyer. Keywords
